Tutor working with a child

There is a big difference between teaching and tutoring. Typically in a teaching environment you are dealing with a large group of students that make individual attention difficult.

Tutoring is usually one on one - although sometimes in a small group - and the tutoring session is customized for the needs of the individual or group.
